New Ford dealership premises being a replacement for earlier existing premises which were proving to be outdated and unsatisfactory.

The design provides modern and welcoming accommodation  comprising main reception, sales and car showroom area, together with individual offices and vehicle servicing areas at ground floor with additional administrative and meeting areas at first floor.

The shape of the site has been exploited to create a building with maximum frontage to the A6 thus establishing its presence on one of the primary routes into Kendal. The showroom faces roughly north and east which together with solar control glazing minimises the risk of  overheating from solar gain. The fully glazed north and east showroom elevations are counterbalance by the solid walls of the vehicle servicing area which are clad in local limestone.
